The Most Important Ingredient in Finding Clients

The Problem is, Most Marketing Advice is Based on Widget Marketing that has You Changing the Wrong Things!

You've probably seen the marketing advice for growing your business.

Typically, it goes something like this:

  • Pick a profitable niche

  • What are the typical painpoints in this market

  • Identify keywords

  • Design an elevator pitch

  • Fill in a marketing calendar with your activities

  • Redesign your funnel to match the guru's

  • Start blogging

  • Posting

  • Networking

  • DMing

  • Podcasting

  • Make money

You may have already been running around, sometimes in circles, working on a list like that, then maybe found yourself re-doing it when you found a new guru.

You may have felt more frustration and disappointment than relief and satisfaction in trying.

I hear you.

Here is the problem with this list, two problems actually.

First, where are your real-life prospective clients in the list? The person that is, not the pain with a wallet.

Second, where are YOU in that list? You know, the person seeking to make a difference who feels called to serve and wasn't actually seeking to sacrifice their authenticity to whatever it takes to make money.

In a word, what's missing is PASSION, yours and your clients.

Without those, you won't connect energetically and you likely won't attract them on an authentic level.

Growing your business starts with finding clients. Finding clients starts with passion, yours. You being in your Zone of Genius (credit Gay Hendricks for this). That's what sets you apart.

Working through the above list will more than likely separate you from your passion. Maybe I'm wrong in your case so let's check.. Go ahead and revisit the list. I'll wait here a second....
